Make a button link to a specific time point in a video
Stornaway.io’s new “Link to Time” feature puts your audience in the driver’s seat—letting them jump straight to the moments that matter most. Instead of watching a long video from start to finish, viewers can now skip to the sections that most interest them, in the order that they want and find exactly what resonates with them, making your content more engaging, efficient, and effective.

👀 2 Simple Steps
Linking to a point in your video is simple!
- If you want to link to a specific time in a different island, link to it as normal. Or if you want to link to a specific time in the current island, leave the choice unlinked.
- Then, in the ‘Link to time in video’ section of the sidebar, enter the time you want your viewers to go to when clicking this choice (e.g. 1m23s)
Update your island, and you’re done!

Why it's so powerful
Browse without friction
No more chopping up long videos or losing engagement to fast-forwarding frustration. With “Link to Time,” you can upload a single, seamless video and let viewers navigate it with ease—whether they’re looking for a key moment, a specific topic, or just the best bits.
Direct viewers to important moments
But why stop at one video? With the ability to link directly to specific points in other videos, you can craft dynamic, connected experiences. Guide viewers between chapters, direct them to deeper insights, or create an interactive learning journey—keeping them engaged without losing them to endless scrolling or external searches.
Give audiences the freedom to choose
This feature isn’t just about convenience—it’s about enhancing engagement, retention, and user satisfaction. Whether you’re creating training videos, product demos, educational content, or interactive storytelling, “Link to Time” ensures that every viewer gets the experience that’s most relevant to them.
Less friction, more control, better engagement. That’s the power of Link to Time in Stornaway.io. 🚀
