Ready to raise your interactive video game in 2025?

The Stornaway development team was not idle this past year. Listening closely to our diverse and innovative community of creators, they delivered a series of game-changing features across 2024. Then stood back and watched (almost all of) them fly!

Here’s a quick look at the Stornaway features making waves with our creators.

Stornaway Voyager

The biggie! We would hesitate to even call this a feature because it’s more of a tool in its own right. Stornaway Voyager lets you bring websites, social media videos, live stream and more INSIDE your interactive video. It turns interactive videos into embeddable ‘magic windows’ that will transform your viewer journey.

Show/Hide Buttons

This was one of our most requested Stornaway features – but no more! Buttons can appear and disappear at any point during your interactive video. Whether it’s to test viewers reactions, link out to extra information at relevant moments or simply create an engaging visual, it’s been a popular feature with our creators.

Button Memory

This helpful tool reminds viewers which buttons have already been clicked on. If there are several sections to watch from a central menu, this handy little tool can ‘gray out’ or ‘tick’ the buttons already explored. Button Memory can also be combined with our game settings to tailor the viewing experience depending on the selected buttons.

Scores on Screen

Keep track of scores, adjust character relationships or manage inventories. This Stornaway feture gives you the power to store, change and check the value of these variables across your project. Power your interactive film games, training scenarios and quizzes through our no-code drag-and-drop editor.

Aspect ratios

Are you creating a mobile-first interactive experience? You’ll want 9:16. Delivering an interactive presentation? 4:3 works well. Looking for the grandeur of cinemascope? That’ll be 21:9 for you. In 2024, we unveiled a range of aspect ratios to suit any interactive project.

SCORM Export

Our inbuilt Stornaway Analytics can record the results from dynamic quizzes, branching training scenarios, instructional videos, or interactive course slides and export them as a SCORM package. Simply upload your project to your LMS to start engaging viewers and measure their interactions effectively.

Autoplay

Cut straight into the action! An engaging, complex interactive video won’t matter if no one presses ‘play’ – so remove that obstacle. Hook your audience immediately and draw them into the story. Nothing grabs your attention like an embedded Stornaway project playing the instant your audience lands on your website.

Easy subtitle upload

Make your videos accessible and engaging with subtitles and captions. Upload your .vtt file. Job done. Not only do subtitles help with viewers who are hard of hearing, but they extend audience reach by allowing people to watch your video content without sound.
